New Schoolhouse Plans

In this fast paced world a “snails pace” has been given new meaning for those of us at Wellspring who are working on the plans for 9th St.. but at least it gives us opportunity to smell the roses, enjoy the scenery, and see what God is doing. I’m getting used to moving at God’s pace rather than my own and I’m even learning to like it! His plans and His timing are always best for us. As for what’s happening on our dear little plot of earth at 9th St? Well, we were not able to secure the final third of financing needed to build due to Wellspring’s youth and inexperience in a larger facility. Lending institution loan standards are increasingly more stringent and we simply no longer qualify. However, when things don’t turn out as you planned you take what you have and make something good from it, right? We will continue to wait on the Lord, build our savings and keep our dream alive so we can complete this beautiful new school house for the children of our community. And as we wait we have made plans to create Wellspring Children’s Community Garden on the building site. This will be a teaching garden for Wellspring children as well as a community garden for families with young children.
All agencies governing this project have given their approval (and even their blessing in some cases) with one exception and we are waiting on the Department of Fish and Wildlife as they are requiring another concurrence letter. We have everything lined up to begin work as soon as we receive the letter. Your continued prayers are always welcome.
If you have any questions, concerns, or comments please email or call us, we would love to talk with you!
Thanks!  Susan Crook
